Meet Joey Klein, founder and head coach for the Institute of Transformational Studies. He is currently in his late 20’s, he has a booked weekly schedule with 50 solid, high-paying clients, and he’s in a new town every weekend of the year teaching a class on self-mastery, mind-mastery, emotional mastery, or his own personal energy healing technique called, Neshamah Healing. But who is he, what are his goals, and how did he become so successful in such a short period of time?

Joey Klein is an anomaly. Having a Kabalistic teacher, an Indian Guru, and a Martial Arts Master as his personal teachers; he truly is gifted at navigating the mind using a simple, easy to follow, methodology that anyone can learn. The biggest thing I got from this weekend transformational intensive was how important the Emotional Body is in our daily lives (see article on “What is Spirituality”). Joey Klein teaches us that before we can have a relationship with the outside world, we are constantly in a ‘battle’ with our own patterns that exist in our “personality selves”. He explains how our personality selves are made up of our Mental Body, our Emotional Body, and our Physical Body. And if we hope to make great changes in our lives, we need to step out of these patterns and get in touch with our Spiritual Body, so new answers can arise from more positive places.

It was truly a breath of fresh air. Our emotional bodies are the engines that drive what and why we do things. We make decisions based on our emotions. So his teachings help a person to get in touch with our predominant emotions (especially the negative ones), and to then transform them so we stop reacting to them; rather, we convert them into ones that serve us.

What astounded me was that in 3 days of this workshop, his mind was as fresh as the first minute. He has an incredible ability to stay highly aware of himself, in control of a group, and filled with integrity, honesty, and morality. It was surprising. His ego is very small, and it’s only used to make sure people get what he is saying so their lives transform for the better as fast as possible. W.I.L.T. Presents.... what it's like to attend the YEHA Camp from Tao Fellowship/ Dahn Yoga!

Dahn Yoga’s YEHA Camp could not have come at a better time for me in my life. I was living in Sedona, AZ, and I had been training my body and mind (life energy) to handle more of life using a Chinese technique known as Energy Training. I was also developing a 10-week personal development course called, The Everyone Program. Both of these things were stirring up so much in my life. Oftentimes I felt lost. I was not balanced. I was fearful about my business, as I was nearing bankruptcy. It was beginning to feel like a burden to even speak. It was as if my entire ‘throat chakra’, my ability to communicate lovingly, was blocked or taken over by massive fear.

A few weeks before, I had decided to begin a few Dahn Yoga/ Tao Fellowship classes. I agreed to a month’s worth to experience for myself the effectiveness of their system. They are also an Energy Training system, yet it hails from South Korea. What that means is their classes aim to balance a person from the inside out, from their organs to the quality of their life energy and chakras.

Two weeks after beginning the yoga classes, I found out about this YEHA Camp thing. They said, "You HAVE to go. It’s for people your age, it’s near Cottonwood at our big ashram/ meditation center (named “Mago”), it’s 3days/3nights long, and you’ll release all those challenges you’ve been feeling."

For a 4-day retreat, the price was definitely right. I decided to join it.

I must hand it to Dahn/ Tao. I have attended many personal development and team building retreats in my days, and their YEHA Camp and Goenka’s Vipassana Camps top the list! What makes a great retreat is for a person to feel like they really grew as a person; to be pushed beyond one’s limits continuously, until they break down and find themselves at the next highest level looking down at those silly problems they had before.

Such was the case for me and YEHA.

The first evening I came to know the power of their system. Energy Training teaches a person not to think; not to stir in thoughts, as these thoughts can block positive new energy into the body. So the first night a top DahnMuDo practitioner stepped on stage to welcome us and guide us through 1.5 hours of slow-moving yoga. There were maybe 250 of us from all around the country ranging mostly from 19 to 26 years old, though some were in their 40’s.

What followed this session was nothing short of a miracle. All the energy dropped out of my head. All of it. I was left with complete balanced of mind and body. I remember looking around at everyone and having no opinions, no judgments, and no thoughts. I was at peace. This also happened after an evening of Oneness Blessings.

We were then guided to stare at a partner standing next to us. So we sat down and began to stare at each other. And in that state, I began to see the beautiful energy, what some call soul, of the person I was looking at. She was a sweet early-20’s girl, going through lots of emotional challenges with her strict, European parents. Her face turned into a soft green and white energy, like a candle flame in shape. She was so much love- so filled with love. And here she was crying about her parents. I could see deep into her heart, and realize how beautiful and unique she, as well as everyone, was.

That night I was sold. I would begin doing all the exercises the entire YEHA Camp, staying up late, and getting up early, to enjoy all of it.

The next days were jammed solid with activities to help us deepen ourselves and believe in the power of this universal energy. We participated in so many activities designed to ‘blow out’ our throat chakras and scream our troubles out, so we were left as the only ones controlling our bodies- no longer our troubles.

There were a few hours where we were guided throughout the 160acre property on 5 spiritual growth exercises. Each was designed to emit a different theme of growth, such as, “I am not alone”, or “I will do what I came here to do before I die.”

That’s the one that got me the most. In one exercise, we were guided in a very real experience to speak to ourselves as if we were on our death beds and we had 5 minutes left to live. What would I say? What would I be proud of? What would this change?

It shifted quite a bit in me. I had more determination to set out and do what I came here to do than ever.

One evening ended with empty-mind dancing. It’s almost like a shamanic ritual of letting go of all thoughts and letting the body move to the music. They have a huge hall where they pump loud beat-filled music into. It’s led by an energy master who guides us into the experience, to let go of all thoughts and move deeper into ourselves over the course of 3+ hours. It’s exhausting, yet it pushes your mind to let go so the soul can come forward and guide you.

The last night we had a DJ party, dancing around in a circle and by ourselves to the loudest music. It let us incorporate into our beings the entire 4 day retreat. At the end of it was share-back. As I was standing there looking at 250 people who I had quickly grown to know and love, the thought hit me to leave my job and focus full-time on my company. I had left my engineering career the year before, yet I was still somewhat-professional, acting as an accountant for a small marketing firm.

That decision helped me find a simpler part-time job to get me by, so I could follow my dream of building a personal development and spiritual counseling company.

I am grateful for Dahn/ Tao Fellowship for that experience. I met some amazing people who I am still best friends with. The accommodations were great (it’s like motel rooms lined down hillsides), the food was simple, and the activities were growth-filled.

Funny thing about the food. The first night, we ate dinner, we were all roudy in the dining hall, yelling and talking to one another. By the last night, we were completely silent. Everyone was meditating while they ate, and we all were in extreme states of peace. That says a lot about the system.

I thank Dahn for saving me in that period of my life. I went home and was able to speak a lot clearer to people and go after what I wanted with more determination. Many challenges lied ahead, and many challenges exist today (it’s now been 3 years since that retreat), but that experience was the solution for my then-challenges.

It was ten minutes into the interview, after Swami had finished asking some questions to those in the room, that he shattered my mind for the first time. He leaned forwards and circled his right hand in mid-air. Being so close to him, I saw with clarity a faint blue light flash beneath his open palm, right before a golden object appeared. It was suspended in mid-air, only an inch below his palm, and remained so for a fraction of a second, before he closed his hand around it. Turning his palm around, he opened his fingers to show us the gold ring with glistening gems that lay inside.

In that moment, my mind ceased to exist. I had read about such miracles before, yet witnessing one at such close quarters left no room for doubt, and my mind had no where to go... but away.

Swami handed the ring to a lady then continued to manifest objects for people in our group. Finally he manifested a silver ring, which this time he passed around to the people sitting close by to inspect. I was one of them. Engraved on the top of the ring was the Christian symbol- the cross.

Swami eventually took the ring back and looked over at a man sitting in the middle of the room.

"Would you like cross or Om?" he asked gently.

The man looked back at Swami, confused.

"Do you want cross or Om?" he asked again.

Still not appearing to understand, the man looked blankly at Swami. Sathya Sai Baba laughed, then holding the ring in his thumb and index finger, he raised it to his mouth and blew on it once. Swami passed the ring around again and where once a cross had been, now the Hindu symbol of an Om (Aum) was engraved. All eyes opened wide and jaws dropped, overwhelmed with Swami's display of power.

Swami took back the ring, then asked the man again. "Do you want cross..." and he blew on the ring, changing the symbol back to a cross and holding it out for us to see. "Or do you want Om," he blew again, turning it back into an Om, before displaying the change to us all.

The man now understood what Swami was asking, but like the rest of us, was in total bewilderment at what he was witnessing. With a mouth still wide open in awe, he simply raised his hands in surrender.

"Cross?" Baba said with the playful tone of a child, transforming the ring, before showing us the finished product. "Or Om," he said, changing the symbol back and handing it out for us to inspect.

With the ring finally back in his possession, Swami held it in front of us, having captured our complete attention. "See, very simple. This is all very simple things," and he shot me a look, his eyes locking onto mine. "When you learn to concentrate, anyone can do this. Control your mind... don't let it control you, then you can create anything you want, even the whole world."

It wasn’t until days after the interview that I bumped into this man from the interview with Sai Baba, and he told me the significance of the ring. He had been born into a Hindu family, but had recently converted to Christianity, and had felt some guilt over leaving the religion he'd been born into. Swami's playful manipulations of the ring had proven Swami's omniscience and taught this man the highest truth- that all religions are one and the same.

What is Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's Art of Living Like?

In the south of India lives a massive organization called the Art of Living.

This is "Divinity System" at its finest. Sri Sri boasts up to 80,000 followers per gathering he goes to. I attended a Maha Shivarathri festival of his in 2009 that had about 200,000 gatherers at it watching him share the love of Shiva. His ashram in Bangalore is usually packed year-round, especially during the months of November through February with foreigners.

Sri Sri is a loving guru who's motto would be, "Celebrate Life". When I met him at his ashram, all he said to me was, "Are you happy?", and as he walked away, every one of my problems washed away in their entirety.

He is a 'Sat-Guru', a special form of Guru that is able to enlighten others. But as with all systems, you must do the work and show your devotion with sincerity. If you are youthful and assertive, you can rise quickly in the organization, because so many new leaders are needed to fulfill their grand mission of releasing stress and violence from the world.

His Art of Living has the #1 most volunteers for any non-profit around the world! He is in almost every country. The organizational structure is much like other spiritual development organizations in the south of India, such as Amma of Kerala, Shri Sathya Sai Baba, and Bhagavan & Amma's Oneness University. Oftentimes you'll end up in as much bliss as he is.

It is the gurus of India who act as small governments to provide services for all that can't be met by the country's government. Each guru, Like Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, and their ashrams are a real blessing on the communities and an integral part of the structure of their countries. Sri Sri probably is donated billions upon billions of money per year from his followers, and most of this goes back out in the form of projects for humanity.

About Joel Osteen and Energy:

Joel understands the Power he's dealing with from a Christian perspective. He's got the largest church in the entire United States! I can't quite call him a true "Advanced System" for the reason that he could still intensify his spiritual channel to create more physical miracles in the lives of his congregation; miracles on the levels of Ron Roth healings. But he does have a massive amount of energy supporting him, being the largest church in the USA. Joel does understand the Power of God. And this makes him a Divinity System with tons of Faith.

His energy doesn't have a specific name, while in other advanced systems the energy can have a name.

But I have received lots of healing for attending his services when I needed the healing and when I arrived in full-Faith. That's the strongest aspect of his system: Faith! And faith can move mountains and turn an ordinary system into an Advanced system in a short amount of time.

His system is more like traditional personal development in America with a kick. Finding out your strengths and weaknesses, focusing on the positive, and praising God and Jesus for their beautiful lives. It is nice, it feels good, he has many followers because of it. If you're deep into his following, and high in his system, you become like he is; a wealthy, clean, powerful, and loving influence on others. He is the embodiment of Christian personal development in America. And that's a very desirable trait to many Americans.

His Joel Osteen book sales, the sales of his wife's books, his outreach to people around the world, his top notch church 'performances' (they are like going to a spiritual revival rock concert) all go towards making Joel Osteen Ministries a unique system for the United States. If only they could release the deep amount of Program that runs within all US Christianity that says, "Jesus is the only Way, the only Truth, and the only Light."

This is not a cut on JC. Jesus is amazing! His power to heal, his peace, his compassion makes him a favorite of mine. But the church system that's built on top of what Jesus truly taught for him to receive the power he attained is what's the challenge. We continue on fighting war after war in the name of claiming Him as the only way to salvation. But that'a very low-level thing to fight for; showing one has very little wisdom on how the universe truly works. It took me about 2 years to unravel that program from my mind and another 2 years to release me 'needing' to be like the version of Jesus that is taught in churches.

I enjoy going to Mr. Osteen's services when I am in Houston and I need to receive a jolt of Christian energy in my life. He is uplifting, his methods work (I find myself singing "I am Victorious" while driving thanks to one of his songs), and he's definitely a positive foundation on Houston for being here. In fact, Houston likes him so much they let go of the lease to his Lakewood Church land and just sold the whole thing to him for a great price.

What it's like to enjoy a church service at Lakewood Church is hip, up-to-date, relaxing, and enjoyable.

Driving down 59 and passing Lakewood Church always brings a smile to my face. If you're ever in Houston and need a pick me up, then stop by Lakewood on Saturday, Sunday, or Wednesdays for a wonderfully moving time. That's a great part of his ministries. He always has something happening almost each day of the week. That makes a system much stronger!

Experiencing Dahn Yoga's Tao Energy Training

What It's Like To presents a short article on Master Ilchi Lee's Dahn Yoga (now known as "Tao Fellowship" due to all the controversy that the Dahn name had). Editor for W.I.L.T. "likes" Dahn Yoga as a whole, and he enjoys the concept of "Energy Training". Yet Dahn Yoga has some sticky-wicket parts to it, so here's an article explaining some of it....

I used to live in Sedona for 2 years, the homebase for Dahn Yoga in America. I know them, I spent time at their camps, I know their people. And... Dahn Yoga is a tricky monster. I like them. I like their premise, their courses, their flavor (that is, until it gets too "military-oriental" at the deeper levels). They have 2 beautiful ashram training centers in North America. One in Sedona and one in Canada with the "Peace River" running through it.

Korean Grand Master Ilchi Lee

Life is top-down, and any problem with the leadership, and this trickles down to all the managers and then students. As of 2009 (the last I checked), Grand Master Ilchi Lee still had major challenges with ego, self-promotion ("Look how good I am!!!"), selfishness and manipulation of his students and future followers for material wealth gain. This has caused a riff in his 'energy channel' that brings darkness into it.

He constantly has the need to over-promote himself with a plethora of testimonials and he uses people in high places to get them to appear in the public's eye that they support Dahn. In fact, probably 1/2 of all students who become masters leave the organization within a short while, because they get sucked into a dark tunnel that leads them to the same conclusion: Dahn Yoga is a cult. However, most of the strongest Advanced Personal Development Systems out there are considered cults, because their energy channels (their spiritual lineage) are so refined and focused, like a laser. And that's what makes them powerful.

A quick search on many of the Advanced Training Systems on this website will lead you to many webpages claiming "This is a Cult!" for each of those systems. So you gotta beware of jumping on the bandwagon. At the lower-levels of this organization, they have an amazing yoga system that clears up your energy meridians on the body, and they have a very powerful martial arts system that drops your energy out of your head really fast. And that equals Peace to the mind. However, training with Dahn comes with a high price tag....

I've been to many of his events at his Sedona Mago Gardens Meditation Retreat, I have done his yoga, I have tried his DahnMuDo (the martial arts of enlightenment), and I have attended 2 of his 3 and 4 days functions at his ashram outside Cottonwood, AZ (about 45 minutes west of Sedona). My conclusion is that his system is good. Each of his classes are intense and effective. I received massive healing at 1 of his gatherings called, "YEHA" back in 2008. I received additional healing (though it came with a week-long of funky release) called Shim Sung.

It's convenient to have an energy system in 100's of locations around the USA. Their yoga slowly clears your energy pathways in the body bringing balance to it. Their martial arts drops your energy out of the head, so you don't think as much or at all (a major bonus to any energy system). But yes, the negative sides are blaring problems that are right in your face.

During his yoga meditations I'd get attacked by a negative blue ball of energy that was possibly connected to Illuminati or Lizard Energy. Lemme say that that is not a positive thing.

There had been some deaths in the organization, because the training can get pretty intense at the top levels. One woman who died was a friend of a friend of mine in Sedona, and it didn't need to happen the way it did. Other friends of mine have spent upwards of $40,000 to get to certain levels in the organization. I got out in one month having spent about $1000. A classic sign of an energy-training system, yet these price tags suck ass (ie: they are not enlightening). Money makes things "exclusive", so this makes Dahn an "exclusive cult" :) I've trained under Guru Masters in India for next to nothing, and I ate their food and slept in their beds.

Like many other personal development organizations (even mine), Dahn has major plans to get his organization in the hands of millions to spread it around the world. But Dahn realizes how powerful their energy is, so their motto is definitely, "One World Under Dahn". No room for other systems to exist. This is a similar challenge I find in most all Advanced forms of Personal Development: once you get to the deepest levels of the training, they all say, "THIS is the only way to God. None others work."

Ilchi Lee is powerful. He is psychic. He does have lots of energy around him, and he does have a lot of energy flowing towards him. He does have the hands of many Korean Politicians in his back pocket. But if Mr. Ilchi Lee can get his 'unconditional love' together and release the "I'm better than everyone else" program that runs so loudly in his life-energy, then he could in fact have one hell of an organization under his belt!

About Ilchi's Enlightenment:
The Buddha taught that there were 4 levels to enlightenment before one would become an Arahant. Arahant means "One who has slain all their enemies" with the word 'enemies' of course meaning "mental impurities". Additionally, there are many stages of Awakening before one reaches full enlightenment. It is my opinion that Mr. Ilchi Lee is very Awakened, yet he is not fully Enlightened. If he were, then he wouldn't be having these challenges with his organization continuously coming up in the news. There would not be any more Ego or need to over-promote himself as he does, because his state would speak for itself (see "Sri Sri Ravi Shankar").

However, if Ilchi Lee is Enlightened, then we would consider it a lower level of Enlightenment (like a kindergarten to 4th grade version of it). For example, if I ever made it to enlightenment in this lifetime, I too would only make it to something like a 2nd Grade version of Enlightenment. Gotama Buddha (a "samma-sambuddha", or king of all Buddhas) would be considered the 12th Grade version of highest morality Enlightenment.

Similarly, a Nithyananda of Southern India with 100,000 devotees was also highly Awakened, yet probably not fully enlightened, as in 2010, Nithyananda was caught with a Bollywood Actress having sex on video, and someone who is an Arahant (according to Buddha) would have fully-extinguished this passion energy from their minds.

Back to Dahn....

I still promote his yoga energy system to some of my clients when I have Soul Healing sessions with people. I tell them, "Try it for a few months- just do it to understand the state of your health and some ideas on how to optimize it- but to never go deeper than that! The system is powerful, there's no question." Because his yoga is exactly what many people need. It works on the energy-level of the body, improving imbalances in one's organs.

Nowadays, people need emotional release that is neutral; not God-based. And Dahn Yoga provides a good release for the body and mind that is neutral (at the lower levels). Once you start climbing a little, everything becomes centered around Grand Master Ilchi Lee, and you have to spend every waking moment in one of his centers attached at the hip to his system. Your life becomes Dahn; Dahn becomes your life.

His energy channel is very distinct, and his system is effective in dropping you out of the mind. It also strengthen the body physically and energetically. It does feel good. etc, etc. So yes, it is Definitely an Advanced form of Personal Development. But Advanced Forms are not for everyone. They will push and pull us through many challenges until our minds become pliable and free from their confines. That's what makes them powerful. However, Mr. Ilchi Lee just has a few ego-based programs that aren't loving and beautiful. If he works on this, and scales back the size of the organization, focusing on humility and a true desire to bring peace into the hands of millions, he just might have one of the most powerful and positive Systems on the planet.

Good Luck, guys. I like shopping and eating at your shops in Sedona. I like you overall. But there are some things needing to be ironed out. I know Dahn Yoga (Tao Fellowship) has changed the lives of thousands. I know some people owe their lives to the organization. For this reason I wish not to send a bad message out about them. I know the system is powerful. I just hope some of the dark corners can be resolved. Ask any ex-Master in the organization to give you the ins and outs of how it works, and you'll be quite shocked.

What It's Like to be the Saturn Return Archetype

What's it like to be a Saturn Return archetype?

Some days I laugh and wonder why I'm doing these things. I'm not special in any way. Just as a person would have the desire or impetus to go out and study law or engineering, so too, I move forward to leave the current world behind, to liberate myself, and then start a new one based on the Laws of Nature.

Start a new society? Teach new ways of living based on peace? Hmm, this sounds familiar....

It was Gotama Buddha's 29th birthday. He was said to have been a rich prince, married to a beautiful Yasodhara, and they had just given birth to their son Rahula. He was the heir to a kingdom, and he had any desire at his fingertips. But a short time thereafter, Buddha walked out on all of it. He left his newborn, his wife, his kingdom and family, and set out to become an aesthetic, living in poverty and exile until he would reach enlightenment 6 years later at the young age of 35.

Oh no! My past karma's about to kick my behind!

Buddha was a product of Saturn's Return. Buddha was also a typical archetype. An archetype is a particular mold of human being; a story we hear again and again until a particular type of person or situation becomes a theory.

It is around this age, 28 to 30, that one will find most men getting married, most people making the greatest changes in their lives (you've probably heard of the 7-year itch?), and most people finding themselves completely unsure of who and what they are. And it is just before this age, at 27, that most people notice a falling away of the past. In fact, the most amount of rockstars have died at the age of 27, like Kurt Kobain and Jim Morrison.

Classic Saturn Return. The Angels loooove car accidents to shake us up.

In my life, I led the depressed youth until almost dying again and again by age 27, as I lived out my life through the ideals of others. The day I turned 28, I quit all tobacco. I also knew it would be the year I would quit drinking- I just didn't know when. 7 months later, I would flip my car on the interstate, only to realize my life had officially entered its Saturn Return. I had prayed for years and years to quit all my vices- the cheating, the alcohol, the negative attitude- and to lead a good life. The angels were always answering my prayers. But it took the wall of Saturn and the power of the angels to bend space and time to come together and answer my prayer once and for all. And boy did I get the answer.

The answer came in the form of a $145,000 car accident that would leave me unable to walk for 6 months of the following year. And after thinking about it, $145,000 was about the amount of emotional damage I had caused my girlfriends over the previous 10 years ;)

Saturn is a Societal Planet that is based on our past and our karma. It takes Saturn 29.5 years to make one full rotation back to the point where it was when you were born. So all up until the time of 27, in most people's lives, they go about their lives with the beliefs from the past; beliefs from parents and society. But around 28 to 30, they begin to explore ferociously for the truth, which leads them to the end of that 7-year cycle (this cycle is from 29 to 35). Saturn has been described as the merciless intervention of fate. If you look at your life or the life of others, you may notice great shifts in perception, awareness, marriage, death, drug use, etc shift around these years in your life.

So the interesting thing that really can kick Saturn Return into high gear for a person is that this 7-year cycle also ends and a new one begins right when Saturn is making it's 1st full rotation in your life. Following this archetype to the T, I noticed just how painful emotions could be as I hunted for the Truth from the age of 29 until today (age 34). I believe 31 to 33 was the most challenging, as I dug out crevices of old karma and contracts I had made in past lives. Definitely not a stable period emotionally. But that's our 30's- they are all about emotions. It's one hell of a ride.

One good thing about this time period is that we begin to also enter Carl Jung's Archetype of the Warrior. We let go of the cock-hungry Athlete Phase, and we desire to bring home the bacon and establish ourselves as credible society-members. We begin new businesses, we become really gregarious, making contacts wherever we go, we walk around open to new ideas and opportunities. Unfortunately, our business is at the 'ground-floor-opportunity' phase, and it's emotional as all can get out until things stabilize within a few years. But at least the Warrior within us brings with it the courage to overcome our obstacles and create this new vision we have for ourselves!

If I read my astrological chart, my Chinese Energy Element, the information about birth order, information about the hand I write with, information about my Ayurvedic body type, and the list goes on and on.... well, it is 100% accurate. The only things that shift are the vibrations of my emotions. At the lower levels, I play out lower-level emotions, like jealousy and anger and attachment. At the higher levels, I am free from these an I feel more aware and even Awakened.

But otherwise, I am a walking-talking archetype. I look at what I do for a living and smile, "Hmm, nothing new here. I am following the laws of nature. Am I unique? Are these thoughts mine? Nope. I am playing out a pre-written act by following the universe's energy." It's God's grand opera.

And the interesting thing about 'life', or energy, is that we are all playing out these archetypes.

So what's it like to be a Saturn Return archetype? It's humbling. I realize more and more that there is no "I", no "mine". With the exception of daily decisions, also based on this universe energy, I am playing out an opera that more or less already has an ending.

And what's the ending?

Well, he gets the girl, he Awakens his Mind, he succeeds at his goals, his family flourishes, and he helps make an impact on this New World that so many of us are stepping forward to create.

Sounds fine by me!

And since one of my major goals is to help others also realize their spiritual power, I ask, "How may I help you?"

May you be peaceful and happy for all eternity. And if you're about to undergo your Saturn Return period.... Strap on in. It's gonna be a wild ride.

"What it's like to" presents a short blog with Audio clip from Cau Chin, the Buddhist monk, Vietnamese Prophet, and psychic healer with ashram in Houston, TX named, Truc Lam.

I (Jan Tijmes from The John Positive Company) offer Soul Healing sessions and life guidance for people, and lately I have met with quite a few devotees from Cau Chin.

What I like about offering sessions for devotees from Cau Chin is that these devotees are already spiritual people. I do not need to 'sugar-coat' the beautiful messages from the angels when I sit with a client from Cau Chin.

Cau Chin offers very positive guidance as you can hear from the audio below. One of my friends recently told me, "Master (Cau Chin) can read me like an open book. He knows everything about me. I have been seeing him for 20 years."

So it is clear that Cau Chin can tune in to many people and draw out the truths from within that person, so as to reveal the wisdom they have been searching for. These are good people to have in one's life.

I like to provide sessions to Cau Chin's followers because they are already open to spiritual guidance and healing. Sometimes we can't get in to see Cau Chin and/ or the message we need to hear is a little different than what he would provide. So I believe it's very positive to visit many healers and psychics to get a well-rounded message and then "do the work" ourselves. This way we get a balanced view for how to conduct our lives.

Out of the couple Cau Chin devotees I sat in the last month alone, I can say that each one has made me extremely grateful, because the sessions are always very high in vibration and each person has received the guidance or healing they were searching for. What It's Like To Ecstatic Dance is a beautiful healing experience. Ecstatic Freestyle Dance (sometimes known as Wild Dancing) is an age-old method of dancing without using your head. You allow your body and Being to connect to the music and groove along to its beats for a couple healing hours.

Facilitators are skilled in choosing the right music sequence to connect a particular message or connection with each group for that week's dance. In Houston, we host an Ecstatic Dance every Sunday morning at Planet Funk Academy, a great dance academy, at Memorial and Shepherd area. The music can start off open and light or deep and meditative. It rises to a climax an hour later before coming back down to softer tones that drop you back into meditation.

There is oftentimes a shocking revelation at each dance. You may learn that you don't want to be touched that day, only to hope that touch is exactly what you wish to receive. You may realize that you have difficulty giving. You may realize you are incredibly giving! You may act very openly with others. You may be hiding from yourself. Or you may use the wild dance as a place to heal your physical body. I myself have a left leg that really benefits each week from stomping around for 2 hours at freestyle dance. It rebalances the entire energy in it!

I've experienced a form of Ecstatic Dancing at a few advanced forms of personal development workshops. Eastern Chinese Metaphysics has been using "No-Mind Dancing" for 1000s of years. I went to a Dahn Yoga function one year that had us dance extremely hard without using our minds for 4 hours until we all collapsed. I've seen the Master Guo group in China use this dance to heal their patients of cancer and sadness. And even Master Aiping Wang's group has used this at their Takaro Lodge in New Zealand.

What you'll also notice in ecstatic dancing is that everyone will play out their version of the energy present in the room during the time of the dance. And it will all be in sync! Like a mastered dance, it will move in harmony! For the first half of the dance, you may be all up in your head Thinking about what move to do next. But by the second half, the energy naturally drops out of your head and you find yourself moving to the beats that your body wishes to move at. It becomes a massive healing! Because thinking blocks the flow of energy, as they teach you in various forms of 'life-energy training'. So no thoughts equals Energy being able to come into your body and mind and heal you.

The kinds of people who come out are always a great group. Interestingly they aren't all hippy odd-balls. They are an even mix of folks who run the gamut of 2 year old to 88 year olds, ballet dancers, engineers, mothers, daughters, gay men, construction workers, yoga instructors, Republicans, and the list goes on.... And in each person the results are the same- huge smiles and gratitude for coming to Ecstatic Dance that week!

Experiencing Awakening with the Oneness Deeksha Blessing

The Oneness Blessing, known as Deeksha or Diksha, is a transfer of 'divine' energy from a blessing giver's hands to a person through their head (like hands-on healing). Oftentimes, Oneness Blessing-givers meet up in groups, so they can give blessings to each other, one on top of the other, every few minutes, until everyone in the room has received 8, 10, 12, or more of these blessings within a short period of time. At one church in Houston, a Sunday service has 64 Blessing-givers line up and after a few hours, you have received 64 blessings. This would be equivalent to a few tabs of Ecstasy :)

The evening may start out with some calming music, as people share their week with each other. Then everyone takes part in a guided meditation, similar to a guided chakra balancing. Afterwards, when everyone is open and ready to receive this divine love (it's said to come from two maha-gurus in the south of India named, Bhagavan and Amma) via the Deeksha Transfer.

I have attended a few Oneness Blessing meetups in Houston to gain a better understanding of the System. After a sincere review and experience of the blessings and the people involved, I can say that it is a very Advanced System, and this usually means that it won't be fully understood by people who haven't trained "Life-Energy" and will quickly be called a "cult". In fact, a simple search online will get an average person quite frightened about the "dangers" of Oneness and the Deeksha Transfer. But rest-assured, after experiencing many many Advanced Personal Development Systems, each with their own transfers of energy, I can say that Oneness is quite sincere, precious, and Divine.

I can attest that the energy is 'thick', strong, positive, and powerful in each meeting with blessing-givers. I spent 14 months in India last year studying under 3 gurus (while in India I did not study Oneness, though I met many Westerners on the road to the Oneness University) and Oneness is the real-deal when it comes to their intentions of bringing Liberation to the planet.

This is a "Divinity System", so the energy is very similar to training something like the Art of Living with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. In fact, I took part in a Oneness "Long Kriya" meditation that had me feel identical and High as a Kite! to the long kriya experienced with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in his long kriya meditations.

It is not a "Universe System" that trains the purification of our mind and life energy over time with energy-purification techniques. (An example of this would be along the lines of a Vipassana Meditation or Energy Training with Master Aiping Wang of China). Instead, this trains a direct connection to the Divine's energy. I know that can sound a little confusing.

In fact, on two separate occasions, with sincerity in my connection to their Energy, and with offering a lovingkindness (metta) meditation at the end of the experience, I have been Awakened and Liberated from my Mind for a number of hours. This is my personal experience and I am writing this from my point of view. I have experienced these systems for a few thousand years in various bodies, and I can say that Oneness means well, and they are providing a good system with powerful, positive energy. If anyone out there has had adverse reactions to it, then I ask you to have a soul healing session with me, so I can explain this spiritual world of "Release" and energy.

On one occasion after Deeksha Oneness, for 3 hours I was devoid of all thoughts, all opinions, all judgments. It was blissful, and again, it showed me why I am working so diligently towards Awakening and Liberation of the Mind. It was a state devoid of Mind. It was a highly awakened state with a massive smile on my face and a knowingness that there was no 'reason' for any of life.

It has been said often that music is one of the simplest and yet the most powerful things in life. While I’ve always loved and enjoyed music, it has only been in the last few years that I’ve really thought about it seriously. Only recently have I fully understood how greatly music has affected all areas of my life, changing me, moulding me, guiding my lifelong decisions and even affecting the way I relate to people…

Only recently have I really understood that I have been living life one song at a time…

There is a song for every single day in my life; there is a song for every situation I face, every emotion I feel, every glance, every movement, every memory and everything else in between. Sometimes it’s just soothing to turn on your iPod or the music system at home and allow it to wash over you when you are too tired to think. While meditating is not always easy, keeping your mind calm and thoughtless is even more difficult, it has been easier for me to let music do that for me.

Its funny how music changes the way you see the world and its funny how the music you listen to changes according to the situations around you. From high energy rock music and metal rock during the early years to Eminem during the dark years when I thought nobody understands me, I’ve come a long way in terms of music and I’ve come a long way in life too.

At times when I sit back and notice, I realize that all my friends, the people that I get along with well and hang out with every single day of my life, and even my husband share the same liking for music. We have the same taste in music, like the same bands, have the same songs on our playlists. Is it because I’ve unconsciously only been attracted to people that have the same taste in music or has it been the other way round? It could be that spending so many years together might have rubbed our music taste on each other in such a way that it is hard to imagine what our music taste was like before we met each other. Music is like personality traits. When you spend too much time with someone else, some of your personality traits rub off on the other person and some of theirs on you.

Would I really be able to get along very well with someone who has a very different taste in music? I don’t really know, currently I don’t and maybe this is a big drawback to let music take hold of your life in such ways, maybe this is what I need to work on. But the people you actually do share such love of music with are precious. What else do you really need in life when you have friends around you and a portable music player? Nothing. Countless number of hours in my life have been spent cruising aimlessly in a car on the quiet highways at night with friends and of course, music.

Its funny, usually when there’s no music everyone talks too much and as soon as the player is on, everyone is quiet. There’s no need to say anything. Conversing through songs is something that tightens the bond with people. You know exactly what emotions it evokes in them and you can feel them too. These are the emotions that sometimes do not have a name, they cannot be described, they can only be felt. And to feel that emotion, with someone else and have an understanding on that level is precious.

The most precious memories I’ve had of people I really care about is somehow related to music in one way or the other. The best and the worst times in my life that I remember too are somehow related to music. Here are a few memories from different parts of my life, related to music.

I was in Rishikesh, the holiest town in India known as the Yoga capital of the world. I’d decided to spend a month there and I’d just landed there after a nightmarish journey along with a friend. While the purpose of my trip was to relax, clear my mind and just enjoy being there, from the time I’d reached Rishikesh I was in an oddly unsettled mood. On our second day in town, my friend took me to a place she had been talking a lot about. A small cafe, on a small street.

The street- I know the moment I saw it that this street would be the one that would remain in my memory for a long time, the street would be the one that I would associate Rishikesh and my time in the town with. The tiny stretch of narrow street, covered partly on top, lined on both sides with tiny shops- music stores, small eateries, a few high end jewellery and antique stores selling expensive, exquisite things that I would never buy, a few cheap stores selling clothes, one or two general stores and so on. I would have missed it if she wouldn’t have showed it to me. The way it seemed on the outside is deceiving, dirty, unkempt and small. I entered and sat at one of the tables.

There were only around 4-5 tables in the small cramped up space. I sat in a place from where I could see the street. the constant motion of the people outside, their Hindis, Bengalis and a million other languages colliding with the English, Russian, Spanish and a million other languages being spoken inside the cafe.. mix all of this with the chants blaring outside from the music stores and you get an idea.. I was sitting, lost in my own thoughts for a long time. Rishikesh is, after all a place that would force you to think, whether you like it or not. I lost sense of the people around me and the constant noise.

Suddenly I hear the sound of someone playing a guitar which was followed by someone singing "One Love" by U2. The sound came from a small balcony at the back of the cafe where I’d first not seen a bunch of bikers and hippies sitting with their guitars, flutes and a variety of other instruments...

Everything else faded away, except that song. Not the perfect voice but the perfect song at the perfect place, at the perfect time. I’m not somebody who gets all sentimental about things but something about that song, in that place and that time, hit a nerve inside me and touched me in a way that I cannot describe. I knew then, that this is where I belong. I didn't feel out of place, afraid of being alone. I didn’t care about what others think about me which is difficult for me, I didn't care about what I look like, which is also difficult for me to achieve.. I liked the sense of being able to get lost in the sea of hundreds of people and in fact, enjoyed being so minute and unimportant that I would be ignored. I never thought it would be so peaceful to be ignored since I had always been concentrating on being noticed... peace, though in small quantity. My first encounter with a peaceful, serene moment in Rishikesh!

Another such experience was once when I and a few of my friends went on a long drive on the highway. This was not really a special occasion for us as such since drives like these are a part of the routine life. Anyways, it was a beautiful night, cool breeze, bright moonlight and of course, some music. One of my friends had just heard a new album and he put it on for us, “Owlcity” which was fairly new at that time and I hadn’t really known of them before. Their music really is something else and I don’t really know how to describe it, but the effect that their songs had was somehow, uplifting.

Nobody was speaking anything at all; it felt as if none of us even realized where we were or what people we were with. We were so lost in those songs, with their cheerful tunes and the lyrics that somehow fill you up with hope that there is something magical that is still out there. The lustre and enthusiasm about life that starts fading away as you get older and learn more is somehow restored by their songs. I don’t know how, but it just makes you feel young, it makes you believe in fairytales and real love. I stole a glance inside the car between the songs and I noticed everyone had a big smile on their face.

The vibe had changed, the atmosphere around was happy when it earlier felt just… well, normal and nothing extra-ordinary. When I reached home that night I felt happy like I hadn’t in a long time before. I thought maybe I’m nuts and it had nothing to do with that music. Well, the next morning I had a mail from one of my friends who just described the exact same feelings to me. I knew it was the music then.

There are the funny moments too. “what is love” is my husband’s absolute favourite with Jim Carrey in the video at his funny best. We’ve spent countless moments at home playing this song full volume and dancing away as funny as we can! Times when we fight or we would be pissed off with each other for some reason are gone in a second as we dance it all away, laughing all the time.

Music will always be an important part of my life, like it has been so far. It defines the way I related to people at times but I’m also working on how not to let it affect my choices in friends, I still want to keep an open mind and not let it be a very important criteria that affects who I enjoy the most with. As long as music stays as magical as it has been so far, there is nothing that can put me down for a long time.

Psychic Chakra Balancing with Houston’s Michael Savago

I first met Houston Psychic, Michael Savago, (UPDATE: as of Dec 2010, Michael is now in Florida but flies often to Houston) when I found him online while searching for people who do roughly the same thing as me. I searched a few keywords that I target my ads in Houston for, and there he was; Michael Savago, Houston Psychic Healer and Spiritual Life Coach. His tagline was so simple that I was immediately drawn to it, "I will personally read and reveal your entire life and not ask you a single question."

I was having a "negative energy" challenge after working with a client that I absorbed a chunk of her illness during a session, and Michael's ad fit the bill. I called him up immediately, "954-393-8509", and we hit it off.

Our first session was a psychic session; a reading that told me how to better deal with clients and how to reduce or eliminate attracting any more negative energy into my life. It was a positive 'slap in the face' session that caused me to commit to a 1-month covenant with myself, “No more cravings until September 16th! No Coke or soda, no candies, no donuts, no cigarettes (I had relaxed my cigarette rule recently and occasionally partook one at parties and evenings), and no masturbation (sex cravings can let a lot of bad energy in if they are filled with guilt).”

It was right on the money. I needed that so much, and from that moment I began feeling more powerful about my healing practice. Then he mentioned a service he provides...

"Jan, I also do chakra cleansings and chakra balancing with chakra balancing wands and crystal gemstones. Have you had anything like this before? I'm a master with crystals."

"You mean sitting for an hour with a rock on my chakras?"

"No, this is a special technique I was born with. When I was 5 years old, I received the information on how to do this, and I’ve been doing it ever since. I’m a natural with crystals. In fact, I was giving readings to my elementary school teachers, and by high school, I was giving readings to my entire class. This chakra balancing that I’ll do here in my home in Houston will suck all the negative energy out that front door and balance you with only positive energy that you need. So much will come out of you that I guarantee that for you, it may last up to 6 months because you are very spiritual. When you come for this, be open and be ready to meditate on all the things you would like more of in your life."

I felt a huge draw to this, as I had never had a formal chakra cleansing with a chakra balancing wand before. I’ve taken part in maybe 30 different types of healings in my life and none of them had been specifically for the chakras. We scheduled a session for a month down the road, so I could finish a 15 day meditation and away I went.

A month later I arrived at Houston psychic Michael’s house ready with a long list of spiritual requests to meditate on during the chakra balancing. We started out with blessings, he placed a long Brazilian chakra balancing wand complete with crystals and chakra stones into my hands, and he asked me to hold it in a special way as we began the intense session. He placed large chakra-colored, diamond-cut stones and gems in front of me on a desk. I began meditating and Michael began the session with more blessings.

Every 20 minutes he would check in on me while I was sincerely meditating on what I wanted more of in life and what I needed less of too. This session 'was alive'. The wand and my body had taken on a life of their own and were doing some amazing things I had never experienced. By about 45 minutes, my entire body began rocking front and back as if possessed due to the release of negative energy. I kept meditating as my hands throbbed and odd sensations pulsed through my body. I just asked purely for what I wanted in life that would help me help more people in this world.

At about 1 hour’s time, Michael had to come in the room and pry the Brazilian chakra balancing wand out of my hand. We continued with a series of tests to make sure I was now rotating properly, clean and secure with myself.

I must say I was shaky and airy at the completion of the session. I almost didn’t know where I was; that’s how much stuff shifted in me. He asked if I was fine and I couldn’t give him a definite answer. So he said, "Call me within 3 days!"

I went home, ate some food, then fell asleep hard for about 2 hours. And that’s when I noticed the difference in me- cleanliness and purity that I hadn’t felt in a long time. It was amazing!

It released all negative energy and opened me up into being more sincere with myself and others. It made me pause gently before speaking or answering others. I was doing my tasks more confidently. I was happier with more strength than I had had before.

Most importantly, it released the negative energies from within me so I could have more strength and confidence to cast out any new negative energies that would try to enter my life in the weeks to come. I see lots of clients, and I need to be fresh and positive at all times.

And one major reason this magical healing happened with the intensity that it did was that I was Open to the experience, I was Sincere about my request for help and the session to provide for it, and I was Grateful for the session and the spiritual help that was coming through to do the work.

It was one of the 2 most favorite "individual healing sessions" I had ever had. And for this reason, I am writing this blog; to praise Michael and the power of this session he provides.

An "Individual Healing Session" would be defined as going in to see someone at a clinic specializing in healings, and they perform some modality on you for healing, and you only go one time. Many modalities you need to go multiple times to begin to make lasting changes in the mind-body energy system. Chakra Balancing Wand sessions are not cheap, but they are positive, powerful, and worth it if you are drawn to it. Still, one month after this healing, I could visualize my chakras, and each one was burning brightly and cleanly with no darkness. My life became more and more positive as the weeks progressed. And if the chakras got a little discolored, I could cleanse them quickly with a simple meditation.

As for me, there is always a reason that the person 'chooses' to have a session with me. Usually after a few minutes it becomes very clear why I am sitting with the person. In many cases, they are going through a life-challenge that I have already passed through, so I can empathize and offer objective guidance. Sometimes, it is the Guardian Angel of the person that guides them to contact me, because the Angel is able to connect easily with me (or me to them) to transmit its message to their people.

One major personal goal I have is to achieve profound “inner peace”: to purify the mind at a deep level by releasing all attachment. This goal carries with it the natural tendency to help others on their paths by finding their unique way out of suffering. For this reason, I started The John Positive Company in 2006.

About the Session
A Soul Healing session with Jan Tijmes begins with ‘checking my ego in at the door.’ Using a natural ability, I connect to energy and put myself in a state that allows for a pure message to move through. It helps if you have a deep question about yourself, such as, "why does this pattern continue to show up in my life?"

‘Energy’ is this powerful field all around us that we are made of, connected to, and go back to. It is limitless, unbounded, constantly purifying itself, and made up of all possibilities, and infinite knowledge.

I open up the discussion by giving a brief introduction into who I am and what I do. I scan the person I am sitting with in order to gage some of their challenges. Sessions can be described as part life-coaching, part healing, and part psychic channeling to provide for higher messages to move through that describe how the universe works or ‘why you are the way you are’. Our sessions help to open a person up to a place where they can now do the work with or without our help to improve and heal their life.

It was Gotama Buddha, 2500 years back, who had the ability to meet a person and see into their past lives in order to understand their unique karmas (past actions). He would use this knowledge to know how to advise someone of the need to improve their life and in what manner would be most effective.

We begin talking about life, and occasionally I will feel a ‘hit’; a moment when I must stop the client, connect deeper, and unravel the mystery of the situation. This is the magic that is different with every client and will depend on your sincerity for help. Usually one main challenge will come up that will become the focal point of the session. This is the loose tooth that needs to be taken out, so to speak.

In some cases, clairvoyant messages can come up for a client. In other cases, the message is a form of channeling. Information from my own personal growth and direct guidance from the universe is what moves through as the message. Occasionally, if a client is quite unsettled, I must guide them into a more relaxed state of themselves with a guided energy relaxation. Subtle shifts take place during and after a Soul Healing session which can lead to unexpected positive events or shifts in awareness in the coming days and weeks.

A person should be relaxed and open for each session, which can last between 1 to 2 hours. Avoid coffee beforehand, and come well-rested and not hungry.

About the Teacher
Head spiritual teacher for The John Positive Company is Mr. Jan Tijmes (pronounced ‘Yahn Times’). Jan is of Dutch decent and grew up in a Chilean/ German family in Houston, Texas. He was an environmental engineer in Florida and Colorado until a life-changing car accident left him unable to walk for 6 months. Following this event was a vow to change his life for the better and bring peace to his mind and the world around him.

What’s it Like to do Sarah McCrum’s Energy for Health On-line Sessions

Perhaps you’re like me. You were told about Sarah McCrum’s online healing and coaching sessions, but you wanted to know more and had trouble finding the information…. (picture of Sarah McCrum below).

So what’s it like to attend Sarah McCrum’s Energy for Health Sessions from the Academy of Potential Education? It’s fascinating, and I dare say the wave of the future, when it comes to communicating to one another so we increase our energy and productivity… Allow me to explain.

Last fall I was at the end of my rope, it was August 2008, and The John Positive Co. was in need of a boost. I wasn’t listening to the truth within me for some time, so I went against my health and tried to force a business to materialize in a matter of months rather than years. At the end of this, I was passing out a few times a day from exhaustion, I was living in fear, I was almost bankrupt and unable to hold a job due to my health, I was uninspired about life, and I was incredibly depressed again. And this was exactly opposite to the services my company was teaching! This was not time for analyzation as to how I got so down. It was time for action. I had to turn this around and find the joy and passion in life again pronto!

A year before this, I worked on a project with Jimmy Allen, a student of Sarah McCrum’s, and owner of WeFareWell, to open up the Inspirational Learning Academy of Sedona, AZ. It was an incredible project that showed me my capacity as a person to create something from nothing. (picture of Jimmy Allen below).

He pushed me in ways that I hadn’t been pushed in all my life. During a 3 month group training course he provided our team, my body purified itself more than it had in the previous 3 years of personal development (that’s how powerful Advanced Systems are, yet they are challenging and tricky).

Jimmy Allen could work 20 hours a day on a project and not get tired, not get depressed, stay focused on his goal, and lead others. How was he doing this? It all came down to the energetic messages inside of my mind’s system. Sessions with him helped me release old messages and imprint new positive ones that would let me also work with such fervor while under his guidance.

So I realized I needed more training like I had had the year before with Jimmy. But this time I wanted it from his teacher, Sarah McCrum. I was at the end of my life, exhausted to even pick up my dreams and walk with them for a few minutes per day. My options were to disappear and travel the world, move back home with my family, or look deeper into how this Jimmy Allen guy was able to be so disciplined and consistent in his life.

As it turns out, Jimmy Allen had trained with her and her teacher Aiping for quite some time, so I called Sarah up and asked what my options were. That’s where I was told about a Level 1 Life Technology Course and the Academy of Potential Education’s “Energy for Health” online sessions.

Though I wanted to take the Course, I went ahead and committed to the online sessions instead. An intuition told me I would be free from this depression by February, 2009, and that the sessions would be a major key.

I was told to buy a USB Logitech headset, get Skype, and attend as many sessions as I could in a month’s time. True that each session sounded expensive, around $30 or $40, but I needed it bad enough that I sacrificed time, energy, and money to make it happen.

I would attend a relaxation session in the morning with Jimmy Allen to help me understand this concept of ‘energy’ and how to relax, then I would attend a later morning session with Sarah McCrum to be in a life-coaching session all under the influence of this so-called ‘energy’.

Each session, we’d go through a guided relaxation with about 8 others on Skype. We’d connect to this ‘Energy’ and receive a loving and healing experience that would support us in our goals. We wouldn’t do much talking; just sitting and receiving this energy that was transmitting through Sarah.

So what is energy?

I was asked that some time back, and I gave this long-winded scientific explanation of it. But in fact, I had no idea that energy was simply a word for God. And I had no idea how to physically connect to it on a dime. I didn’t know I could! But that’s what you learn in ‘Energy Training’ sessions with Sarah.

God is made up of so many energies. God is everything, the beginning and the end, all possibilities, all health. And to really know it, you must experience it for yourself on a consistent basis. It’s not till you can distinguish your soul from your mind’s impurities that you can begin to say what God is. And that’s what these daily online sessions helped to achieve for me.

Sarah McCrum has been training energy for over 12 years (as of 2008) directly from Chinese Master Aiping Wang. I had the chance to sit with Sarah when she visited Arizona last year for 4 days, and it was such an energetically moving experience for my body that I found myself extremely depressed, doubtful, and sick after she left. So in the fall of 2008, I got ready for a whole 3 months of energy sessions with Sarah each day, and to me the idea sounded fabulous. No matter how bad the pain, ‘releasing’ is great for a body and mind. When given the option, always take the one that purifies and cleanses your system, even if it’s more challenging. God (or energy) isn’t a philosophy. It isn’t words in a book. It isn’t out there somewhere in a magical place called Heaven. It is a fantastic experience. It is the only reason to live. Anything you ever wanted and needed in life comes from it. Without it we die early and depressed. It feels so amazing. And if we lose our connection to it, our soul’s energy (spirit- like a rechargeable battery) doesn’t refuel properly and we exhaust and depress ourselves.

I am grateful for the experience of the 3 months I had with Sarah McCrum’s daily Energy for Health online sessions. The coolest thing was definitely that I now know when I am my soul versus when I am my mind’s impurities. And I have a tool to help me become my soul again whenever I fall out of sorts. I’ve learned how to connect back to a stronger universe energy as opposed to my limited human energy.

The unified field, what physicists have called the unifying energy that binds us all has about 30 characteristics that many physicists have agreed upon. One of these characteristics is "Self-Referral". That has a few meanings. The first is that you only need yourself to find the answer. The second is similar to how people use the word in western medicine. It means a physician referring a client to a medical treatment procedure from another physician for some financial gain.

In God's energy field, God is the physician referring the client (you and me) back to His Universe Energy for health and vitality. Each one of us naturally gets a sensation in us to relax when we are tired. THAT is self-referral. Those who know the power of God's energy know that if you take relaxation a step further, you get actual "connection" to God's energy- like plugging yourself into a wall socket and getting recharged. What do you get when you are recharged???

What it’s Like to Meditate Vipassana Goenka Center

What it’s like to do Vipassana as taught by SN Goenka and the Sayagji U Ba Khin organization:

This is such a gentle and profound meditation; one of the most challenging, yet most results-oriented meditations on earth; evolved and designed, like the Law of Gravity, for our happiness and Enlightenment. It is wonderful.

Let me give a background.

Old Negative Energy (aka: Attachments of the Mind)
When we live our life according to society, filled with drama, reaction, anger, excitement; emotions and reactions that create attachment; and when we think we are our bodies and our minds (ie: This is Me! This is who I am!), then this attachment blocks negative energy within the mind and forms negative habit patterns over time. This is a Law of Nature. Because the universe is about flow and change. Any attempt to stop this flow blocks energy within us.

In time, this creates suffering, as any blockage ultimately create a situation to be less than its highest potential. If I ask for something from God, the universe will respond, but only at the level of how pure my energetic vibration is. Additionally, as one gets older or weaker, this negative energy tries to find its way back out of one's body, and it can end up looking like cancer, nervous disorders, or dis-ease.

On average, we all tend to harbor far much more negative energy than release them.

Why?

Because as a society we don’t yet understand this process. We don’t understand that anything that the body or mind experiences will create an energetic imprint on the mind that will not go away unless it is ‘released’. We wash our clothes, clean our desks and car, brush our teeth; likewise the mind must be cleansed daily or released of its impurities.

We are constantly releasing small amounts of negative energy on a daily basis (ie: some days you feel good and some days you feel bad), but if you want to truly be happy all the time, then you have to release massive chunks of this old negative energy from within the mind.

This negative energy is our ego. We built it up over time. It is our attachment. It is the songs that don’t stop playing in our heads. It is our restlessness. It is our laziness and lack of discipline. It is our defensiveness. It is our fear. It is our anxiety and lack of sleep. It is us wanting to keep secrets. It is us crying when someone brings up something sensitive in our life.

We all want peace. We all want happiness. We want vibrant Health. So how does one release the negative energy (mental impurities or defilements) from within the mind?

The quickest way is with the use of Advanced forms of Personal Development that are designed for this purpose. One such system that is highly effective in release of old energy from the mind is called Vipassana.

All Vipassana Meditations is not training the same thing….
Not all Vipassana systems are the same (Read “What is Vipassana”). Vipassana as taught by SN Goenka targets one of most potent aspects of Vipassana. It is the most advanced meditation of all the meditations that Gotama Buddha taught 2,500 years ago, when he was able to teach millions of people living in northern India and Nepal. He was also able to help perhaps 5,000 people on earth become fully enlightened “arahants”, released from all their suffering by this technique.

Many other forms of Vipassana (or “Insight Meditation”) exist, but the technique and the release is much gentler. It’s not what the Buddha taught 100%. It’s a variation that’s evolved over time that still helps dramatically improve one's daily personal development. (read “What is Personal Development”). But this Vipassana, as taught by SN Goenka, deals with the observation of itching sensations across the body in a systematic method that over time releases all locked negative energy from within the mind.

If you meditate, then that's a good thing. All meditations are positive, and the decision as to which one you do will come from your heart’s guidance. There are litterally 1000s to choose from. It is my personal opinion that this form of meditation- Vipassana- is one of the top forms in helping a person truly liberate themself from their mind.

Powerful Technique, Peaceful Results
In the 5 years that I experienced about 30 personal development systems with great devotion, I have yet to encounter a system with as powerful a breathing technique and method of karmic release as this technique. Yes, a few others exist, but ones with the expressed goal of taking a person to the final goal of Liberation, this technique just about tops the list.

As you learn how to observe the body’s skin surface in a very unique pattern, you will eventually feel sensations of energy (like itching) all over the skin surface. In time, this itching becomes more and more blissful until it fully dissolves. This can takes years, however, each step along the way you slowly ‘dissolve’ these sensations. You are actually releasing huge amounts of old energy patterns from within the mind and body.

And what are you left with?

A quiet mind.
Peace. A type of peace that allows you to breathe easy and feel calmness in your chest.
Opportunities that come to you as quickly as you think of them (this takes a long time to master).
A knowingness about everything.
A profound connection to all of life.
How the universe functions, all of its laws, at a very deep level.

You will come to realize: All thought is attachment (ie: every thought you have is an impurity of the mind). What that means is that as you Release more and more, thoughts in your mind will become quieter and quieter until they cease to exist. I was fortunate to experience this once. At that point you are essentially channeling direct guidance and inspiration from the universe and your mind stops using up any of your energy.

As you may know, a restless mind is exhausting. In fact, it's been stated that an untrained mind can use up to 80% of the body's energy each day. Such was the case for me, so that's why I decided to explore this technique with great tenacity.

Please keep in mind this system is very advanced, and I don’t recommend it to my clients or students until we both recognize one is ready for such a challenging, yet profound experience. This experience will not just affect the conscious mind (which is where most American systems end), but it will create deep purification into the subconscious mind, where the roots of our problems exist.

About Vipassana Centers
Vipassana Centers start students off with 10-day courses, where you learn a respiration awareness technique for 3.5 days (called Anapana), and Vipassana for the remaining 6.5 days. You leave home on the 11th day’s morning. You really can’t learn this technique in any less time.

Most centers are class act with great vegetarian meals (to increase purification of the body/ mind) and great housing and restroom facilities. They are places where you go with little (only bring clothes and a toothbrush), and you leave with A LOT. You leave being a deeper sense of yourself. All the meditations and the entire days are planned out and fully instructed by competent teachers. This system has been the same since Goenka began teaching in India around 1969.

Navigating the Release
One thing I caution is that Goenka Vipassana Centers don’t typically tell a person how to navigate the Release Process. Each soul (ie: mind-energy at its purest level) is incredibly unique. Some souls are very ‘young’ and immature. Some are wiser or can handle more capacity through them. Energy is extremely delicate. So know that it can take weeks after a course for a person to re-integrate back into society in a way that you begin to act more normal and happy. And during the course, you may get toally confused about what is happening inside you. Know that this is normal.

I’ve seen some people leave courses and be “worse off than before the course.” But, this isn’t entirely true. You see, when a person releases this old mind energy, it comes up through the conscious mind, then appears on the body surface as sensations, then dissolves. When it comes up into the conscious mind, it can be extremely negative and nasty. This old energy can create discomfort, sickness, bad thoughts, and a thousand other things.

A person can also leave a center ‘believing’ that some things in their life are now extremely bad, like, dancing, singing, eating meat, whether or not you can have sex, or enjoying life with passion. Again, this has to do with the level of your soul’s development. Each country and each community and each person is different. So just allow yourself to explore until you reach the Truth deep within yourself. And ask a Vipassana teacher anytime you need guidance.

Remember, this meditation is supposed to bring you Happiness and Peace, so if you aren't experiencing that within a few weeks after a course, please contact a teacher to find out what you may be doing incorrectly.

I remember one time, after spending too much time at a Vipassana center in India, I believed that I should never get married, I should become a monk, and that receiving money for work was bad for me. This was an imbalance which had come up from deep within me that had to settle down over many months before I came back into balance.

Just make sure you follow this one rule:
When you are releasing this old karmic energy, maintain your focus on the positive. This old energy is trying to release, so becoming angry and discontented by it will only cause it to create more problems in the future. Know that it is being replaced by positive and pure new energy from the universe.

What resists persists. So if you resist the Release, then it will show up in the future. If you attach yourself to the feelings of the Release, then you will snowball the pain of its release from you.

Allow the old depression to go away, and remind yourself, “This is ok. This is leaving me. This is a release. I will be ok soon. This is natural; it has to happen like this.” And within a few days, you’ll notice you’re beginning to feel much more balanced and peaceful.

Conclusions
Goenka and U Ba Khin Vipassana Centers are available for your growth and inner peace. Each center is unique and filled with support and care for you. Center layouts, customs, food options etc will vary from center to center, but the techniques stays the exact same no matter where you go.

What it’s like to do Vipassana is holy and beautiful. It’s a miraculous meditation filled with wisdom and results that you can do in the comfort of your own home. You can't put words to it, because it is something to be experienced. And your body will definitely thank you for it.

It is challenging? YES. Will you see major positive changes in your life in time? Yes. Can anger go away completely by it? Yes. Can you create a fully quiet mind using this technique? Yes. Will it take a long time to get used to “how” you integrate Vipassana into your unique life, so you benefit in positive ways as well as maintain your ‘normal’ life? Yes.

So be patient, observe, remain equanimous.

Slowly, your life will begin to improve at very deep levels that will shift the 'surface' reality of your life.

Vipassana Meditation is a scientific way to enlightenment. It is not about praising God and its Energy, though this happens indirectly and naturally. It is about purification of the mind's negative habit patterns, so we remain fully in control of our minds and in this present moment. Natural Goals of this technique are to Master the Mind, release all Judgment and finger-pointing, release all Attachment, release Cravings, release Aversions (hatreds), release Reactions, release Fear and Anger. It works at the depths of the human subconscious mind where the Roots reside, and this is accomplished very logically. What It’s Like To sit with spiritual Buddhist monk, Cau Chin is quite interesting.

I recently had the opportunity of meeting Cau Chin after a friend of mine who has seen him for 20 years told me there was a psychic Buddhist in Houston who saw between 60 to 120 people each day for sessions.

I just moved back to Houston from India, and being a Vipassana meditator (a Buddhist meditation) and Soul Healer for clients, I wanted to meet this leader of Houston spiritual society. I drove to his place at 5:30am to begin standing in line. I was already the 6th person waiting for a session that day. Sessions begin at his small shop located in a Strip Mall on Boone Rd. north off Beechnut past the Beltway. It says “Cau Chin” out front, just near the Washeteria.

His shop opens at 7am, and a few volunteers are handing out numbers and asking you to sit and wait your turn. Couples and friends are encouraged to visit with Cau Chin together in group.

In my 5 years of being around psychics, energy healers, and life-coaches around the world, a session with Cau Chin would have to rank among the most bizarre and fascinating to attend. They only last 15 minutes each on average. Mine began by 8:30am. I have heard of some that go over an hour for people he understands need extra attention or healing.

Essentially, when you meet with a spiritual leader, just seeing them with the intention to receive clarity or blessings in some area of your life is all you need to go for. Everytime I’ve asked for outside help, I’ve always received a positive answer or opportunity come my way. It's a simpe and powerful law of the universe.

Sitting in his waiting room, you listen to peaceful meditative music. There are pictures of other spiritual gurus, like Sathya Sai Baba and the Dalai Lama, among pillars and statues of Gotama Buddha.

A small donation box sits in the corner of the waiting area, which is the only sign of a request for money from your part. Sometimes a small dry-erase board is near the box describing a project they need funding for. Currently, funding is needed for aspects of his Truc Lam Temple in SW Houston.

When my name was called, I went into a cluttered, somewhat messy room, and on the other side of a 1 foot-tall coffee table was Cau Chin sitting on the ground in his brown robe asking me, “Hello Foreigner, please come inside."

This is the part that made me smile. He spoke quickly like a 9 year old child, shuffling through a massive deck of cards as he’d make statements about my life, followed by the word, “Hey”.

“You look like yo daddy, hey.”
“You need to pray more fo yo family. Da Lord listen to da prayers, hey.”
“Money flow into yo life, leave like water, hey.”
“Yo relationship like yo-yo, hey.”

After a string of these, he went into the future years of my life, stating each year followed by a short comment as to the prosperity of that year. Finally, he went through the next few months of my life, each with a short comment as to its prosperity. The outlook was good.

He finished the session by asking me what questions I had. But my jaw was stiff from being so confused by what had just happened. This session was so fascinating on so many levels that it left me with utter confusion. I thought of the 3 or 4 questions I had, I mumbled them out, but I already knew the answer to all of them by that time. They had become trivial. He even looked at me and said, "So why would you have questions?"

The experience as a whole is what brought clarity for me on my questions and on a new direction I was choosing with my Soul Healing practice. And his prosperity predictions were right: I now see about 2 to 4 clients each day for about 1.5 hour sessions a piece. Each session has been very loving and informative for the client (as well as me :)

When you see a psychic or spiritual teacher like me or Cau Chin or a psychic Beverly Anderson, the person tunes in to you and can give future predictions based on the current energy of your life. That’s how a prophesy is made. It doesn’t mean it’ll happen, as we all have Free-Will in our lives. But it does mean it has a high probability of happening based on today's energy. But the best reason to talk to someone bout things is to receive practical advice in how to proceed with something, so everyone benefits happily.

TRUC LAM
I next went on a Monday night to his evening discourse at 6:30pm at Truc Lam meditation center. It’s a nice huge meditation room with massive Buddha statues in the background.

Within an hour, everyone assembles outside in the ‘backyard’ near a stage, where Cau Chin and a Spanish translator provide evening discourse stories from the Buddha, healing stories of people who have been healed with Cau Chin’s help, followed by blessings.

He did share some nice stories about personal healings which have occurred in the predominantly 90% Catholic Hispanic followers that were in the audience of about 250 people that day. Some healings were a woman being able to have a baby, getting a greencard, relationship healings, and other bodily healings.

It’s quite an experience to visit him if you’re in the area. It is like sitting with a little boy. A little boy who owns a Lexus, a beautiful meditation center, a spiritual session shop, has many volunteers working with him and teaching meditation, and spends well over 100 hours a week seeing clients and followers from around the world with no request for money. That’s what’s inspiring about him. He is ‘himself’. Simple, playful, odd, and your mind goes blank when it gets near him, because his world functions so differently than most people’s. It made me want to splash around in a backyard pool and blow bubbles.

So why do I love Durango's Beverly Anderson? Cause her channeled information changed the course of my life back in 2005.

What it's like sitting with Beverly Anderson is like sitting with the Angels in your lap. The room gets really white. Even her face begins to change shape. You soon cross the barrier between what you think is reality and then you something that is far more open and honest; which is just the energetic dimensions that span all frequencies around you.

But she preps you for that. She opens the session up with a cute introduction about how she doesn’t have a crystal ball, and she doesn’t froth at the mouth, like in some Hollywood movies. Rather the whole experience is quite gentle, and the information that will come through will blow your mind into its depth and accuracy. She'll say, "I have a wicked Irish sense of humor."

Answers begin to come to her about any topic as she shares them with you in a very loving way. As she says, "Careful what you ask for, cause I'll give you an answer to it!" The only way to do that is to be “out of your mind” and connected to those messages in a very high vibration. So she does it really well. In fact, she’s been providing spiritual sessions with people since the time she was about 16 years old. I think she's been reading tarot since she was 5. The gift runs in her family.

How do you know if a psychic or life-coach is good?

They always say to measure their quality by looking at all aspects of that person’s life. There are a lot of scam artists out there, so look at that person’s relationships if you can. Look at their house if you can. Take note of their office and the way they run their business. Is it clean? Does he or she use cheesy methods of advertisement, or do clients seemingly come from no where. Feel their integrity and honesty. Notice the person’s overall health.

In Beverly’s case, she stopped working hard around the time she turned 30. After that, she called all the shots and began taking twice the vacations. She books sessions at least three weeks in advance. People come out of no where to see her; from S. Africa to Russia to the Americas. She has a lovely home, she skies all the time, and she flies in Hollywood A-Listers to her residence now and again.

That’s how you can tell the quality of a coach or spiritual counselor as well as the quality of spiritual help that person is receiving from the other side to help his or her business grow and stay strong.

The other thing to notice about a psychic or Soul Healer is “how long does the information that they provide stay fresh?” Many lesser psychics provide information that is relevant for a few days to a few weeks. In Beverly Anderson’s case, her messages can last 18 months or more. I have replayed sessions I’ve had with her up to 3 years later, and I’ve still received benefit from them.

As she likes to say, “I’m psychic as all can get out!”

The word “psychic” has a bad rap in today’s society, but sometimes there’s no better word to use. Beverly is a natural. But for those of us who aren't naturals yet want to live this higher vibration, we have to do the work by releasing all of that negative mental programming. When Beverly's sitting in a session with you, then she's completely connected with you. No other programs twitching in her mind- no restlessness or negativity. Her mind is only connected to the messages of the Angels and the Universe. She only brings back exactly what she’s being told, which is dimensions of delicious volumes of information.

During a session, she starts with, “I’m going to tune in to your Angels, then I’ll Reader’s Digest the information for you as I go “Blahhhh”, and translate it all as best I can, ok? So just sit tight. Afterwards you can ask questions.”

I met her during a really crucial time in my life after a major car accident I had had back in 2005. I happened to be walking by her beautiful home, as my engineering company was paving her road. She came out of her house, gave me some advice, and then told me we’d meet again in a year. Sure enough, a year went by, and I bumped into her again. We set up an appointment, and she proceeded to tell me information from my past 2000 years. I knew it was true, cause the tears wouldn’t stop flowing from my face. Their accuracy was like arrows piercing my heart from all the pain I had given myself over so many centuries.

That was September, 2006. It was amazing to hear my voice on that recording just a few years ago. It was so tight, constricted, confined. It was growing more positive, because I had spent the previous 9 months doing 4 hours to 16 hours a day of personal development on my own time to reprogram years and years of damaging thinking. But still I was very confined and conscious-minded, as I was still an engineer in life, and still under tremendous amounts of financial stresses, gripped and attached to what I thought my life should look like, feel like, taste like, smell like, and sound like.

But Beverly really opened me up in that session telling me about the car accident and why I decided to come back to earth for this lifetime. She told me aspects of that car accident I hadn't told anyone before, and she even knew more about it than I did. So I spent the next few years every 6 months going back to her to have a few more sessions, until they got more advanced.

It was at that time that she told me, “Now I want you to pull away from me and to start to go deeply on your own path without my help. I can help you in one more area, but it’s you who will have to do the work from now on. It’s time to graduate from my services.”

I thought that was another great clue that this was a quality psychic and spiritual counselor. She didn’t want to drain me of my money, but rather, to help me become my own voice.

In those years with her, I learned a lot about how to function within deeper laws of the universe; how the Angels and how God work. The universe won’t ever ‘tell’ you what to do in life. Yet that’s always what we want. Haven’t you ever noticed yourself begging to God, “Tell me what to do! Just do this for me!”

But they will however provide options and guidance as needed. And you can also learn how to utilize God and the Angels (and Universe Energy) to help you manifest what you need in life to create your goals if they are for the good of others. I have become very good at that in the past few years.

I tell you though, if you call her frantically, wanting her to solve some dire challenge for you, then she knows exactly when that’s happening, and she’ll be sure not to get back to you until the frantic problem has passed. That’s happened to me a lot. She does not get involved in your karma. This has taught me a lot about responsibility.

Good or bad, your life is your life, and you have no right to throw it on someone else, when it was you who helped bring it to where it is. She’ll wait a few days, listen to what the Angels have to say about your life, then she may call you back if it’s the right time.
