What it’s Like to Love Ron Roth, Christian Mystic

Intro
After my car accident in 2005, I began searching for answers. I began to find the answers I was looking for in personal and spiritual development.

One of my favorite teachers, whom I still adore today, is Ron Roth. I came across his teachings during this time of questioning in my life.

If ever there was a man living in the USA who deserved a movie to be made about him, Ron Roth would top my list. As a whole, not many know about him, but He was, and still is, in my opinion, America’s greatest healer and spiritual teacher (up until his passing this year). That is no feat, because America usually doesn’t produce teachers of his depth and caliber.

Ron Roth has recently suffered a third or fourth stroke, which has left him unable to move and communicate. He has not taught since about 2006, when he had the last major stroke. Let me recap some of his life, so you understand how these strokes occurred, and how I came to love him.


Short Bio of Ron’s Life
Ronald Roth was fortunately born into an open family that understood spirits and angels. One time in 3rd grade he told the class that he had a nice conversation the night before with his Uncle Charlie. The teacher, who was a Catholic nun, said, “That’s nice, Ronald. Where was your uncle visiting from?”

“From Heaven.”

“That’s sweet, Ronald. Where is Heaven in the United States?”

“You know, Heaven. My uncle died last week.”

“What!? Do you know what I told you about lying in class, Ronald?!”

Then she dragged him by the ear to the principal’s office and scolded him with the principal’s help. His mother came to take him home and said to him, “Now you know why I always tell you to not bring up those things in public places. People just don’t get it!”

At an early age he was blessed with a strong connection to spirit energy. He always prayed for the dead, even as an adult. He healed himself from a grave sickness somewhere around the age of 9 or 11 when a spirit asked him to place his hands in a particular spot on his body.

Ron Roth became a Priest in the Catholic Church, and stayed with the church about 25 years, before they asked him to leave. He was always a little more “alive” and outspoken than his co-Priests, so the church always had their eye on him. They even placed him in very remote locations where his teachings wouldn’t have much of an effect on the Church’s image.

It was sometime in the 1980’s or early 1990’s that he ‘accidentally’ was placed in the front of a fellow church and introduced as a great healer to the congregation. (Read "The Healing Path of Prayer" to get more background on this). At the time, Ron Roth had never done any public healings, let alone mass healings. He hadn’t yet come into his own as a healer, but he believed firmly that Jesus Christ taught a simple message:

Along with love and compassion, Jesus was teaching us all to be healers!

At this session with the congregation, he was so nervous that he just placed his arms out and touched each member of the congregation that came to him and said, “You’re healed.” He had no idea what he was doing.

But 6 months later, a woman came to him and said, “Remember me? I was the first woman you laid your hands on that night at church during your healing session. Since then I have been healed from this disease I’ve had for so long.”

It was then that Ron Roth began realizing that spirit was trying to move healing energy through him on a mass scale. Soon he would come into his own as a hands-on healer.


Building a Spiritual Empire
Within the next few years, he was asked to leave the church, because his practices fell too far outside of those in the Catholic Church. That along with a few other reasons are said to be the case. But this didn’t matter. He started “Celebrating Life Ministries” in Peru, Illinois. In time, he would have a small team working with him; a monk named Paul Funfsinn, and a woman who was miraculously healed by Roth, named, Teresa Cordova (it’s quite an incredible story on CD 5 of a 2005, 9-CD set).

This is where they reached rockstar status in the spiritual world. What they were pulling off was nothing short of daily miracles that were so fantastic- real services to humanity.

With Celebrating Life, he held numerous gatherings per year; the first ones had literally thousands of people at them. Then they were paired down to around 400 or so. He was told once by spirit energy that many of his lectures not only were for the human world, but they were actually being attended by many more deceased souls who were watching his sermons as a sort of “classroom assignment”. He had a deep connection with the dead, always praying for them and their peace and growth.

He was also putting out books and tapes, some of which are still for sale at Nightingale-Conant on-line. Others can still be found on his website. I say “still”, because with his 2006 stroke, the spiritual reigns were turned over Paul Funfsinn, as Ron had to step down as head, due to health reasons.

He also began leading retreats to Brazil as Ron Roth and Joao de Deus (John of God) became best friends, and later spiritual brothers. Ron always dreamed of opening a “Casa” like John’s in the USA, which I assume would have happened had he still been in full form today.

During some of Ron Roth’s retreat healings, he would heal people two-by-two, as they would rush up to him just before lunch was being served. He said that the way healings would happen was that he would open his body to allow for the right spirit energy or psychic surgeon (many times even Padre Pio) to channel through him to heal the person who was coming up to him. He became a transmission device for the energy, so to speak, so he wouldn’t have any recollection of what would happen after the healings, or even after many of his public talks.


One of Ron’s favorite Prayers:
“Come Holy Spirit; fill the hearts of your faithful. Kindle in us the fire of your Divine Love. Send forth Your Sacred Wisdom and you shall renew the face of this earth. Cause the Arc of your Divine Might and Power to rest upon us who wholeheartedly trust in You.”


But doing that kind of work requires a tremendous ability to channel extremely high voltage without getting hurt. I have been told that it’s rare that a healer of his magnitude lives very long, as it can take many lifetimes to perfect the ability of high capacity. He has been a great healer in the past, and he will continue to perfect his abilities in future lifetimes.

Ron Roth’s healing style was so unique. He taught others how to do it, he healed adults and children in public, he shared others the messages from the angels, he recorded sessions of his gatherings, he wrote books, he did anything he could to get the message out there that we are now in this spiritual/ energy world that needs drastic changes to occur.

Once he said that at the ends of his gatherings back in the 90’s, so many wheelchairs and hearing aids were left behind by members of the congregation who were instantly healed at the sermons, there was difficulty stepping through the aisles. So “great” was his ability, which was all by the grace of God.


Reaching a Climax
In late 1990’s and early 2000, he began to fall prey to the ego of what he was doing. There were even some issues with depression in the 90’s, as he had built something that he wasn’t sure he wanted to look like what it had evolved into.

It was a lot like David Bowie’s popularity in the 1980’s. Bowie was doing stadium tours with bland music that everyone could relate to. In the end, he decided to go with his dreams and scrap the pop music for more interesting sounds that fewer fans would understand. This helped him, and Ron Roth, maintain his love for the work he was doing.

In 2001 at the time of September 11, Ron was given a message to “die on the cross” like Jesus Christ for the sins of mankind. During a retreat, he did this and passed an incredibly massive amount of energy through his system. He was such a transistor of love with such faith in the Master of Christianity. A few days later would be his first stroke. Such was the effect of the energy through his body.

Yet in the hospital, he was told by the Angels that he would make a full recovery. Doctors didn’t know how, but within 6 weeks, Ron was 100% again. It was this stroke that changed his direction into one of more sincerity. He began honoring his ability, his congregation, his reason for being here. Rather than being focused on selling tapes and videos, he began focusing on the people.

For the next 5 years, Ron Roth was in my opinion, the USA’s version of Jesus Christ. It’s seldom that the “hard” energy in the USA produces someone soft and evolved like him. He once said that he had many faults, as we all do, but he would place these aside whenever he taught to allow for an extremely pure message to move through him.


When I “Met” Ron Roth
I never met Ron Roth in person. I didn’t have to. The moment I heard his 9CD set Spiritual Retreat from 2005, I fell in love at the deepest level with him. Everything he said rang true with me. I could see the mystical New Age aspects, I could see the Christ Consciousness aspects, and I could see the Indian spirituality aspects of his teachings. He was a master of the Universal Law of Integration.

I would place Ron Roth’s teachings and healings, his “System”, under the Divinity System (LINK to come) category, because there is such a powerful energy and spiritual lineage that comes through in his healings. This energy and lineage could be accessed by all who were students of his and who are attuned with the energy at his sermons. God is ever-present with Ron and His energy was very present at all of his lectures and retreats.

Most spiritual teachers frown upon “mixing” energy and mixing teachings, but for Ron Roth, it worked. It is true that many energies conflict with one another and shouldn’t be mixed. But in Ron’s case, his healing energy was one energy channel, and his teachings were a mixture of several energy channels.


After my car accident in 2005, I had a chance while in the hospital to get very quiet and sincere with myself. What did I want in life? Why had that accident happened? Why would I be OK again, and why wasn’t I hurt “badly” after it having been so violent? These types of questions led me back to one of my deepest joys in life- spirituality.

After months of personal development CDs, programs, and journaling, I purchased a few spiritual development CDs to see what that was all about. Ron’s set was one of them.

At the time, I was still smoking drugs now and again, and since I wasn’t sincere enough with myself to listen to someone so pure, I decided to smoke marijuana before popping in his CD. By the end of the first CD, my jaw dropped as his guided meditation dropped me into such a deep and pure place within myself. I didn’t know what to make of it at the time, and I didn’t think that was possible with spiritual Christianity. All that from a simple CD! From then on, my weed-days were numbered. But I didn’t leave it until 2007.


Ron Spiritually Heals Me
During a road trip near Santa Fe, in the Pecos Wilderness, I went camping alone for a weekend in spring 2007. After a long night, I passed out, and awoke dazed in 0 degree weather at around 8000 foot elevation.

I was frozen and miserable. I knew that the only way I would get through it was to call on the Holy energy of God, my Angels, and Ron Roth. I remembered from one of his CDs that he said to always call on his energy if help was needed.

While heating up my breakfast in the trunk of my car with a small burner, I collapsed onto the ground. My breathing was so shallow. I almost blacked out. I didn’t have any energy to move. At that moment, I began playing Ron’s CD in my mind. I called on his help to get me up and finish making my breakfast.

Within seconds, I had a surge of energy, and I was able to get up and finish my breakfast. I took that morning very calmly, and was able to pack up my belongings and leave peacefully.


Sleeping and Driving with Ron Roth
From 2006 until 2008, I’d listen to Ron Roth’s CDs while driving, and I’d put him in my CD player to wake up to him as my alarm clock. I began to take advice from his CDs on how to start my morning spiritual routine, known as sadhana. I was just at the beginning stages of personal development, so he became one of my greatest teachers on how to start on a spiritual path.

The CDs I had were recorded until 2006. After that, no new information came my way. But I began “training energy” (an advanced form of personal development) with a group from China and New Zealand that helped me to evolve his message into the places his message would have gone had he still been lecturing and healing.


Another great Ron Roth quote from a 2006 Lecture:
“Until we become aware that everything in the Universe is Energy, and we shift to an Energy Paradigm, spirituality is not going to have the power to do anything among us, like what we call “Creating Miracles”."


So he understood very well the need for strong understanding and connection to Universe Energy. This made me realize how connected Ron was with the Energy world behind spirituality (see Universe Systems (LINK)).

For months I would either wake up to CDs from Master Aiping Wang (Universe Energy Master) or from Ron Roth (Spiritual Energy/ Healing Master). Aiping’s relaxations helped me to receive new messages and wisdom from the energy present in the universe each day. And these messages felt to me as if they were the next level of what Ron Roth would have begun teaching.

At one point I wanted to show up in Illinois at the Celebrating Life Ministries doorstep and just say, “I’m Here! How can I help.” But that never happened. I had an inner feeling that I had my own road to travel and ministry to begin in another part of the world. So I support their efforts wholeheartedly, as well as the efforts of many of his students, like Kerry Chin.

One morning I woke up to one of Ron’s CDs that had him healing a small boy with an eyesight problem. I did not wake up for the full hour that the CD played. Rather, the CD became the dialog within my dream, as I walked into a room and watched Ron giving the entire live discourse as if I was there. When I finally awoke, I realized my lips were moving and I had been reciting the entire CD word for word. It’s amazing what the mind recollects.

I am currently living in Gujarat, India, as I write this, but when I think of my last homes in Sedona, Arizona, and in Durango, Colorado, I think about all the long road-trips I made with Ron Roth guiding the way with his sermons on the CD player. Nighttimes on snowy roads in a Subaru with Ron.

Ron Roth is still alive today (See Update Below), yet he is under continuous medical assistance. A recent stroke took place in 2009. Prayers are appreciated. The healing legacy, the gift of health for thousands, and the dream of increased future healings for the many healers in the world are more than anyone could ask for in a life. May God be with Him evermore. I can’t wait to meet him again someday.

Update2: BTW, here’s a quote that I thought really hit the nail on the head. Celebrating Life Ministries just completed its first weekend retreat with Paul Funfsinn at the helm. I as well as others were wondering what it would be like without Ron there, but this quote shows you that Spirit is definitely supporting their continuation of CLM and of miraculous healings.

"Dear Paul (Funfsinn),

Two weeks before the retreat I noticed changes in my left breast that are symptoms of breast cancer. There's only a 40% chance of surviving 5 years. Appointments with a breast cancer surgeon, more mammograms, etc. were set up. Three lesions were found but the doctors could tell from the images that one was benign. During the retreat you prayed for healing for the cancer and my arthritis. Then JoAnn, the ordained healer from Oklahoma, prayed for a long time with me. I continued praying when I got home and kept telling the cancer that it could transform into healthy cells and that would make God and me very happy. Yesterday morning, I drove to Clinic for a ultrasound guided needle biopsies. When I lay down on the exam table I "knew" that the lesions were gone. The first doctor I talked with was a resident. He left the room while the tech began the ultrasound. I could tell she was searching for a lesion and not finding it. The doctors left the room and the tech finished up and went to talk with them. I was sent to the waiting area. When I was called back in, the resident said that there was no reason to do the biopsies because the lesions were gone. I'll admit that I wondered about the future of Celebrating Life after Ron's death. That was a waste of energy. You are doing a wonderful job! The recent retreat was the best CLM event I've attended.
